Oxford: Bring on 17

By Chris Kieffer - April 29, 2007

Ole Miss just hit into an inning-ending double play for the third time today.
Now tied for the longest game in Ole Miss history. Already the longest in MSU history.
1-1 entering the 17th.
Ole Miss has had a leadoff single now in five of the last six innings.
Scott Bittle now pitching for Ole Miss.
Also forgot to note early, there was a moment of silence before the game for Cardinals pitcher Josh Hancock, who died in a car accident last night. Hancock's brother Jon-Jon played for the Rebels the last two years but was dismissed from the team before this season.
That moment of silence was a long time ago.

I admire your perserverance for sticking it out for such a long game. It looks like the end may be near now with MSU's big 17th inning. Of course a game-tying HR in the bottom of the inning isn't out of the question. Bet you wish the SEC travel rule was in effect today...
