Oxford: Contrast in styles

Today's game features right-hander Lance Lynn pumping in mostly fastballs in the low to mid 90s against "crafty" Mississippi State left-hander with an assortment of offspeed pitches.
Both have been effective. Lynn had allowed one hit through 2.2 scoreless innings before allowing Jeffrey Rea's first home run of the year with two outs in the third.
Pigott threw just 19 pitches through two scoreless innings. Both hits he allowed were infield singles.
1-0 Mississippi State in the bottom of the third.
MSU freshman shortstop and SEC-leading hitter Bradon Turner just hurt himself (grabbed his hamstring) running out a ground out and has been replaced at short by Jet Butler.
