Oxford: Gamecocks take lead into ninth

South Carolina took a 10-9 lead on pinch hitter Drew Martin's pinch hit single in the eighth.
Ole Miss put runners on the corners with two outs in the bottom of the eighth, but South Carolina reliever Jeff Jeffords got Zach Miller to hit a foul pop and (with the crowd on its feet watching) Gamecock right fielder Harley Lail made a long run to snare it.
