Oxford: High Scoring

By Chris Kieffer - April 27, 2007

It was billed as a matchup of Mississippi State's hitting (best in the SEC) against Ole Miss' pitching and defense (second and first in the SEC respectively).
The Bulldogs held up their end of the bargain with a run in the first. But Ole Miss' hitters then out did them in the bottom half with four runs of their own.

Ole Miss batted in around in the inning with five hits in the frame.
Only one run is earned thanks to an error by third baseman Connor Powers.
Place is packed. Only a handful of open seats in the grandstand and both outfield seating areas are full all the way across (looks like regional size).
