Lynn, whose fastball has been 92-94, just struck out Travis Jones with a great curveball to end the sixth.
It was an eight-pitch inning for Lynn after his teammates gave him the lead.
Gamecocks have just one hit through six.
Heading into the bottom of the sixth, Rebels lead 2-0.
