Oxford: More runs

By Chris Kieffer - April 22, 2007

Another home run by South Carolina and some extra base hits for the Rebels.
It's 8-3 Gamecocks through 2.

Justin Smoak hit a two-run home run, the Gamecock's fourth blast in two innings.
Meanwhile, Ole Miss got a solo home run from catcher Brett Basham and consecutive two-out doubles by Justin Henry and Zack Cozart.
The wind meter at the top of the hill only reads four miles an hour, but the flags are blowing stiffly, swirling both out to center and to left at Oxford-University Stadium, which is tucked in a valley where the wind tends to be higher.
All of the home runs were hit to left except Smoak's, which was to right.
