Connor Powers led off the ninth with a single and took second on Nick Hardy’s pinch-hit sacrifice. After Marc Goforth’s groundout pushed Powers to third, Jeffrey Rea drew a five pitch walk from reliever Duran Ferguson.

Brandon Turner drove a ball to the wall to end the game.

Miss State wins the game 5-4 and the series 2to1.
