UCLA-USC: Bruins cut into lead. But torrential downpour of sunshine has ceased.

An RBI single by Jermaine Curtis (I always have to be careful not to write "Jermaine Stewart" who sang that gawd-awful "We don't have to take our clothes off to have a good time" song back in the mid-80s) cut the Trojan lead to 4-2, then a bloop single by Cody Decker made it a one-run game (4-3) here in the fifth inning.

Right now, relief pitcher No. 1 Kevin Couture has been pulled and reliever No. 2 Shawn Olsen has taken over to try to stem the tide.

Also, the freakin' lights have been turned on here at Dedeaux Field. It's getting so overcast, I guess USC administrators think it has becoming dangerously dark to play this game without lights on. Damn horrible weather. It's affecting SoCal too now.
