A developing situation..

Georgia Tech is now on the scoreboard in the bottom of the 5th after right fielder Wally Crancer sent a 3-2 fastball over the right center field wall. On the next at-bat, designated hitter Luke Murton was hit by a pitch in the head. After recovering from the initial stun of being in the head by a baseball thrown at high velocity, Murton just trotted down to first without incident.

The Jackets picked up another single in the inning when Florida State left fielder Ruairi O'Connor was unable to come up with a tough catch on a ball that he could not grab off of his shoetops. However, Henry got out of another jam by getting Tech first baseman Tony Plagman to pop up to right which ended the threat.

Moving into the 6th, the score is 7-2 in favor of the Seminoles.
