ACC: It's Midnight

By Glenn Tanner - May 24, 2007

Our first pitch of the day was at 10:06 a.m. and the clock just hit midnight. I've seen 38 innings of baseball, 72 hits, 30 runs, and no homers thanks to the wind.

My fingers are numb, my contacts are stuck to my eyes, and my ass has lost all feeling.

Honestly, I'm losing it.

So is Wake Forest. After six innings, Florida State leads the Deacs 7-2.

Wake starter Garrett Bullock is done for the night. I envy him. His final line: 5.2 innings, 10 hits, 7 runs, 6 earned, 4 walks, 2 Ks, and 122 pitches.

FSU is into the pen, too, to start the 7th. Final line on Michael Hyde: 6 innings, 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 4 walks, 4 Ks, and 104 pitches.

Matt Fairel is on in relief. Hope he works quickly.
