Both starters are now out. Sean Doolittle tried to resume after the delay, but walked the batter who was the plate when play was stopped, loading the bases. Jake Rule (5-4, 2.60 in 34.2 innings, .281 BAA) came on and induced an inning-ending DP.

Jared Hyatt (8-0, 3.17 ERA in 48.1 innings, .249 BAA) started the top of the seventh for Georgia Tech.
