A-Sun: Jax to Bullpen Too Little, Too Late

By Bryan App - May 23, 2007

Belmont finally chased Jacksonville starter Justin Young out of the game with no outs in the sixth.

Kane Simmons led off with a single up the middle and Daniel Wagner followed with an RBI triple to the right field fence. Jacksonville's Tim Brown then took the mound in relief.

Belmont now leads 2-1, and the Dolphins could face a tough road back, considering they have just two hits in the game.

UPDATE: That hole just got deeper, as a Brady Manifold RBI single increases Belmont's lead to 3-1. Brown is gone, as junior right-hander/utility infielder/outfielder Matt Dobbins takes the mound.
