Big East: Go, Johnnies, Go

By Elliot Olshansky - May 22, 2007

Colin Lynch gets the save - and a pair of strikeouts - in the top of the ninth, and the Johnnies finish off the Huskies, who battled valiantly until the end.

That sets our matchups for tomorrow as follows:

At 10:00 a.m.m, it'll be Villanova and Notre Dame in the first elimination game of the day, while UConn will meet Pittsburgh in the second win-or-go-home contest at 1:00 p.m.

At 5:00 p.m., we go into winners' bracket games, as Louisville will take on Rutgers, and we'll close with the top-seeded Johnnies moving on to face USF at 8:00 p.m.

The home teams for tomorrow's contests, as determined by coin toss will be: Notre Dame, UConn, Rutgers and USF.

Personally, I think having coin tosses for home team status is kind of silly, but there you go.

Once again, Touching the Bases will be right there with all of the coverage.

Goodnight from Brooklyn!
