Big South Championship

By David Cloninger - May 26, 2007

Liberty has to win two today to win the Big South title and an automatic pass to the NCAA tournament. Not to say they're already done, but today is expected to complete what was already pre-ordained ... a coronation of Coastal Carolina as the best team in the conference.

Coastal would be in the tournament anyway with two losses, but I doubt they're going to just lay down. With Andy DeLaGarza set to pitch today, the Chanticleers can probably ice a host site for the NCAAs.

DeLaGarza is so good he only goes by three letters. When you hear "DLG" mentioned, you know there's fixin to be some bad stuff going down. Coastal's missing out on a marketing bonanza.
