Big South Game 3 ... VMI vs. Liberty

By David Cloninger - May 23, 2007

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth and the tying run on third, VMI elects to put a man on first to set up for the force out. Then Liberty's Nate Thompson singles through the box to tie the score. The Keydets walk P.K. Keller to intentionally load the bases and Patrick Gaillard delivers a walk-off single to win it.

Liberty wins 4-3, sticking it to its rival yet again, and gets to play Winthrop, which it swept two weeks ago, tomorrow.
