Big South Game 6 ... Winthrop vs. Liberty

By David Cloninger - May 24, 2007

Phil John, the second cousin of Tommy John, leads off the Liberty sixth with a triple and scores on Garrett Young's single up the box to tie it 1-1. Jason Franzblau is over 100 pitches now, which has got the Winthrop bullpen up and throwing. I don't know how much that will help, but at least it's better than the last time Franzblau faced Liberty.

He got lit in the eighth and coach Joe Hudak left him in with nobody warming up and Winthrop lost a game it couldn't afford to lose rather quickly.

Hudak's made the call and Jonathan Settle will try to work out of a two-on, no-out situation with one run already in.
