Big South Game 8 ... Winthrop vs. Coastal Carolina

Coastal makes the change, switching John Mariotti in to pitch and leaving lefty Andy DeLaGarza for later. Winthrop is going to counter with righty Josh McDonald, who transferred in from South Carolina two years ago but fractured the tip of his elbow last season and missed the stretch run.

Winthrop really needs to win this game, considering its starting pitching is down to its bottom three guys. Win today, and the Eagles relax and can come back with No. 1 gun Alex Wilson for the title on Saturday. Lose, and they've got to go to the bullpen for three straight wins, not to mention playing a doubleheader today.
