Chapel Hill: Tar Heels Hang On

By Kenny Cook - May 13, 2007

Andrew Carignan struck out pinch hitter Chris House on a check swing with runners on the corners to preserve the Tar Heel game 3 and series win, 14-11. Carignan gave up as many earned runs in the 9th (two) as he had all year to that point. With the win, UNC takes a half game lead over Virginia in the ACC Coastal Division.

It's not often that the Tar Heel fans root for NC State in anything, but I'm sure they were appreciative that the Wolfpack knocked off UVA today to help out the Tar Heels.
