Cowboy senior Keanon Simon led the fifth inning off with a walk, Corey Brown came up two batters later and hit a single through the gap between first and second base to move Simon to third. Cowboy senior Tyler Mach hit a sac-fly to score Simon and move the Cowboys within a run by making the score 4-3 Tigers, but Matt Mangini ended the rally for the Cowboys when he grounded out to the first baseman.
