Cowboys on pitcher No.5

By Tristan Threlkeld - May 18, 2007

Cowboy head coach Frank Anderson is not afraid to use pitchers and I wouldn't put it past him if he used six or more in a game if he wanted. Well here we are over 3/4 of the way there and the Cowboys now trail 8-3 after a wild pitch by Tyler Lyons, the Cowboys third pitcher of the game scored John McKee to move the score 6-3. Lyons was replaced by Brandon Adams, who stayed for one batter and gave up a 2-run RBI single to Tiger Brock Bond to move the score 8- 3. Adams was then removed for Josh Fritsche, the Cowboys fifth pitcher of the game. Fritsche did get the Cowboys out of the inning without any more damage done.

Heading to the eight inning it looks like the Tigers are staking an early claim on second place in the Big 12 conference as they lead the Cowboys 8-3 going into the eighth.
