FSU: Here come the 'Noles

By Michael McGuffee - May 11, 2007

The Seminoles used a two-out rally in the bottom of the third to take a 2-0 lead over Clemson. FSU's Tony Thomas Jr. started things off with a bunt single down the third base line. He then stole second and Mark Hallberg singled to right, allowing the speedster to score easily.

Clemson's Daniel Moskos walked the next batter and FSU's Jack Rye blasted a pitch up the middle to score Hallberg from second. Moskos walked another to load the bases and looked to be down for the count after throwing several pitches in the dirt. But the junior fought back to strike out third baseman Jason Stidham and end the inning.

FSU's Hallberg and Rye both extended their hitting streaks to 16 games. The stolen base by Thomas was his 25th of the year.
