Here come the Cowboys

You kind of got the feeling heading into the eight the Cowboys were waiting for something good to happen and the Sooners were waiting for something bad to happen.
Well both happened in a matter of one play. Nich Conaway started the inning off by giving up two hits to Matt Lopez and Ryan Pittman to put runners on first and second. Ty Wright was the next batter up and he was just trying to get a sac bunt, but Conaway fielded the ball and threw it wildly to third to get the force but it failed as the ball caromed off the wall and into the outfield. Lopez scored off the error, which tied the game 5-5. Keanon Simon stepped into the box next to strikeout and give the Sooners their first out of the inning. Tyler Mach got pinged in the head to load the bases, but Corey Brown's attempted bunt failed to score Pittman as he was the force out at home to give the Cowboys two outs with the bases loaded. Well Rebel Ridling stepped into the box to do some damage, but Nich Conaway struck him out swinging to the delight of all the Sooner fans in the stands and to his teammates in the field and dugout. Conaway walked off the field fist pumping and chest bumping with teammates.
The Cowboys have left 12 runners on base and 6 of those have been in the last three innings.
Here we head to the ninth with the game all knotted up 5-5. Will be back momentarily to give details of one of the teams getting the game winner.
