Take me out to the ballgame

By Mark Etheridge - May 04, 2007

I mentioned earlier Auburn is playing without a pair of key performers, Miss State is without freshman phenom shortstop Brandon Turner and outfielder Jeff Flagg.

Auburn went to the pen last inning after a pair of hard-hit balls off Evan Crawford. Crawford gave Auburn a solid five and two-third inning start. He allowed just four hits and two unearned runs. He walked three and struck out three logging 99 pitches. Chris Dennis came in and stopped a Bulldog threat.

As my Indian friend would say, "then everyone stood up and starting singing. And I didn't know the words." We're stretching in Starkville, 2-1 Bullies.
