MU-UT: Right Where They Want Them
By Glenn Tanner - May 06, 2007
Heading into the ninth, Mizzou has Texas right where they want them -- down one run.
The Longhorns got a run in the 8th to cut the lead to 5-4, but the Tigers are 7-0 in one-run games in the Big 12.
In the eighth, Mizzou reliever Greg Folgia, who pitched so well Friday, simply couldn't find the plate. He loaded the bases on a HBP and two walks. The Longhorns got a run on a sac fly, and with two outs, Missouri brought in Scooter Hicks. Brad Suttle fisted a Hicks pitch up into the air and the breeze really caught it, but so did Tiger LF Aaron Senne, on the warning track.
And Texas alum Roger Clemens will finally be able to afford one of the new luxury boxes that are being added to Disch-Falk next season.
