MVC: Aces Jump Ahead

Evansville drew first blood in the bottom of the second, when Pat Tumilty scored from third on a bloop single to center field by Aces RF Jeff Zelenovich, bringing the UE fans to their feet as they did a musical chairs dance around the first two rows of Section L at Hammons Field.

Wichita is having trouble against Tuomi so far. Unlike the first game against Bradley, Tuomi has spotted his pitches nicely, and the Shocks are in need of a big play to rally the troops, in the dugout and in the stands.

So far, though, Kai Tuomi is having his way. He sets WSU down in order in the top of the third, and the Aces head to their half of the inning, up 1-0.
