MVC: Bears go back-to-back

By Jean Neuberger - May 25, 2007

As a breeze has finally drifted into the stadium (YES!), the Bears of Missouri State have finally done something positive in the top of the eighth, as Tanner Mattson launched a solo shot into the left field bullpen (obviously THE place to hit it today), and Nolan Keane followed with a shot over the Steak N Shake sign in right center, cutting the Bradley lead to 8-2.

BU is relaxed now, as they know that, unless a severe catastrophe goes down in the ninth, they'll get their rematch with Creighton. Meanwhile, I'm still amazed that Bradley has yet to hit a single today. How many times have you heard of a team getting eight hits, four of them homers, and not one of them being a single?
