MVC: Bears Waste Golden Chance

By Jean Neuberger - May 24, 2007

MSU had a chance, as singles by Shane Elenz (who came in after Nolan Keane's ejection) and Josh Mazzola put the go-ahead run at the plate with just one out. However, the Bears could do nothing with it. Matt Lawson flied out to shallow right field, and Brayden Drake grounded out to shortstop, ending the Bears' chances of making this a very tight game.

Evansville is three outs away from staving off elimination. We head to the ninth, Aces up 5-3.
