MVC: Catch of the Day

By Jean Neuberger - May 24, 2007

It looked like Wichita State was going to break things open in the top of the fifth, as they had Tyler Hill on third base, Tyler Weber on second base, and Andy Dirks sent a bomb to right center that had two-run double written all over it. However, SIU's Aaron Roberts, sprinting towards the ball, made a leaping, one-handed catch that robbed Dirks of his first hit of the tournament, and Wichita State of a three run lead.

Instead, Musgrave will trot back on the mound for the Shockers, clinging to a 1-0 lead. This might be the last inning played for awhile though, as rain clouds are rolling into the Springfield area.
