MVC: Cold Night, Cold Bats

By Jean Neuberger - May 26, 2007

The rains earlier have definitely cooled things off by 10 degrees. Today's first game started with a temperature of 75, and it's 65 outside right now.

Wichita won the first game 2-1 this afternoon, and it looks like it might be another pitcher's duel tonight. After two innings, both teams only have one hit, and there really hasn't been a lot of good contact made tonight. Both teams are hitting a lot of slow grounders and shallow pop-ups.

Will the bats heat up? I hope they do for someone. We've got to crown a champion tonight, and a 0-0 game in extra innings can really be a frustrating game for all.
