MVC: Creighton Avoids Danger

By Jean Neuberger - May 26, 2007

The Shockers are using a patient offensive attack right now, and it's getting runners on base. However, the timely hitting needed to score runs wasn't there in the bottom of the second. A Bret Bascue single and Josh Walkman walk had runners on first and second with just one out. However, Creighton's Marc Lewis struck out Tyler Weber, and Dusty Coleman grounded to short to end the inning.

Timely hitting means so much in games like this...Shocks gotta deliver, especially against a team like Creighton.

Bottom of the Creighton order facing Shafer in the top of the third. 1-0 WSU.
