MVC: Braumann Gets Out of Jam

By Jean Neuberger - May 23, 2007

Wichita State tried to spark a two out rally in the bottom of the seventh, but Andy Dirks whiffed hard on a fastball from MSU's Buddy Braumann, and we head to the eighth inning with Missouri State leading 5-2 over the Shockers.

Missouri State's crowd is getting louder and louder with every out. They sense what everyone else is sensing right now: something is different about this Bears ballclub. They're playing mistake-free baseball right now, and it's got everyone in a state of shock (some more pleased than others).

Wichita has made a pitching change, going with RHP Andy Womack (3-1, 2.55 ERA). He'll try to hold the Bears at bay, while his teammates try to stage a comeback. MSU is just six outs away from a huge morale-boosting upset.
