MVC: Getting Set for Bradley-Creighton II
By Jean Neuberger - May 25, 2007
Last night, Zak Moore and the Creighton Bluejays shut down Bradley in a 2-0 pitcher's duel here at Hammons Field. This morning, Bradley came out, wanting desperately to get a rematch with Creighton, and they rolled to an easy 8-3 win over Missouri State. Now, we're just minutes away from the marquis rematch of the night: #3 Bradley and #2 Creighton.
Creighton (42-13) has won 23 of their last 25 games. and looks to advance to the finals tomorrow, where Wichita State would have to beat them twice. The Jays will send MVC Pitcher of the Year Ben Mancuso to the mound. Mancuso is a LHP who is 9-2 with a microscopic 2.25 ERA on the season.
Bradley (32-20) knows that their season is on the line, so they'll give everything they have to play tomorrow afternoon. The Braves will send out Collin Brennan (3-5, 3.79) to the mound.
No changes in the CU lineup. Why should there be? It's won 23 of the last 25. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!
Bradley has made only one lineup change, and that's in the batting order. Pete Malinowski is now batting cleanup, and Justin Carr moves down to bat fifth in the order.
The lineups are being announced, and we're set to go here in Springfield!
