MVC: Joy Saves Himself Again

By Jean Neuberger - May 23, 2007

Creighton's got to be shaking their heads at the way Southern Illinois pitcher Shawn Joy has pulled himself out of bases loaded jams. Last inning, he did it with a strikeout. This inning, with one out, he got Chris Gradoville to hit a ground ball right back to him. Joy threw to home for one, and Mark Kelly fired the ball to first to get Gradoville and complete the 1-2-3 double play.

5-3 Salukis as we head to the top of the fifth.
