MVC: Reese Saves Jays, We Have a GAME.
By Jean Neuberger - May 26, 2007
Scott Reese did his job for Creighton, retiring all three batters he faced. However, Danny Jackson's fly out to the warning track in center brought home Tyler Hill, and we've got a 6-5 game after 7 1/2 innings.
Creighton needs insurance right now. Wichita's outs were all fly balls in the eighth, and they aren't missing many balls now. It'll be the 5-6-7 hitters for CU going up against Noah Booth, whose job it is to shut the Jays down to give his team a shot in the ninth.
So here we go...will CU get insurance? Will Wichita tie it up? With Creighton just three outs away from its first ever MVC Tournament title, it'll be one wild finish here in Springfield!!!
