MVC: Shocks Tie It Up

By Jean Neuberger - May 25, 2007

Wichita State had gone hitless for the first three innings, but the hits came through for them in the top of the fourth. Derek Schermerhorn got the first hit of the game for the Shocks when he delivered a one-out single to right field. He would steal second on a very close play, and score on a single by Conor Gillaspie that just made it over the glove of Evansville 2B Troy Krider.

Tuomi managed to hold the Shocks to just a run, but the fans along the first base side have gotten into this game, and that can't be good news for the Aces.

1-1 as Evansville bats in the bottom of the fourth. They'll send the 4-5-6 hitters to face Capra.
