MVC: SMALL WINS IT FOR CREIGHTON!!!

By Jean Neuberger - May 27, 2007

I. AM. SPENT.

In the most dramatic baseball game one will ever see in his life, Andrew Small wins it for Creighton with a double to left center that neither Tyler Hill nor Andy Dirks could snag. Brandon Knox comes home with the biggest run in CU history, and the Bluejays dogpile at home, celebrating their very first MVC Tournament title.

It's also the first year CU has won the MVC Baseball AND Basketball Tournaments.

But still, you HATE seeing WSU lose this one. This was the greatest game of the year in college baseball, bar none. I'd put it up for any baseball award you can THROW at it.

There will obviously be a lot more from Springfield, as we'll have post-game coverage, and hopefully some great interviews. Once again, in the most dramatic of fashions one could ever imagine, Creighton is the 2007 Missouri Valley Champion.
