MVC: Stretching in Springfield

By Jean Neuberger - May 24, 2007

Zak Moore has completely handcuffed Bradley so far tonight. In what has been the best pitching performance of the entire tournament, Moore has walked one, struck out seven, and has held the Braves hitless for the last three innings, and we go to the stretch with Creighton on top, 1-0.

I knew that Creighton had good pitching, but this has been impressive. Venditte was fantastic in the first game, and now Moore is one-upping the Braves tonight.

Even though he stands to be the losing pitcher, you have to give a hand to Bradley's Chris Wright as well. He's only allowed one run on four hits, and that run was unearned. Most nights, he'd be in a winning position. Tonight though, his teammates have run into a Bluejay buzzsaw.
