MVC: Venditte In Total Control

By Jean Neuberger - May 26, 2007

He's making it look easy.

Pat Venditte strikes out Tyler Weber, moves his glove to another hand, and then strikes out Dusty Coleman. Wichita has gotten no further than second base, and we are halfway home in 1:02 with Creighton on top, 2-0.

Memo to College Baseball Fans Everywhere: If Venditte is pitching at a regional near you, get over there and watch this kid in action. You won't see anything like it, and it is a treat to watch this guy pitch (Well, a treat for everyone except the Shocker fans). He's 12 outs away from a tournament title, his first win as a starter, and my vote for tournament MVP (which he has if WSU doesn't come back).
