MVC: Venditte Mowing 'Em Down

With Creighton up 6-5, the question now is if Southern Illinois can even get a runner on base against Bluejay hurler Pat Venditte. He stands to be the winning pitcher right now, as he's faced 14 batters and retired every single one of them.

The Salukis send RHP Ian Rhinehart to the mound now, replacing Jordan Powell. Rhinehart is the fourth pitcher of the day for SIU.

It's been all Venditte though in the late innings, and Creighton is looking for insurance in the eighth, as they're three outs away from claiming the first game here in Springfield.
