MVC: Wichita Pulling Away

By Jean Neuberger - May 25, 2007

This one is starting to fall out of Evansville's grip, as Conor Gillaspie blasted a shot that would've gone out the park had it been hit anywhere else but dead center. Instead, the ball, and Aces CF Jim Viscomi, hit the 400 mark and fell to the ground. By the time Viscomi had gotten on his feet, Matt Brown was rounding third and racing home. Brown beat the tag at the plate, and the Shockers now lead 5-1 on Gillaspie's double.

Evansville's put up a great fight, and you can't count them out completely just yet. It's just been Wichita's talent that has pulled them through, making clutch hits and spectacular catches all game long.
