MVC: Winky Breaks A Window

By Jean Neuberger - May 26, 2007

Throughout this week in college baseball, I've read of broken bat tips, broken records, and as of this morning, broken win streaks courtesy of Memphis. Now, you can add a broken window to the list of things that shatter in the night.

The window was broken on a foul ball by Creighton's Steve Winklemann, as it sailed over the netting behind home plate and went directly to the left of me in the press box. It shattered the window next to Shockers SID Tami Cutler...was this a message being sent?

Anyways, all of us opened up our individual windows in press row. We'd rather be hit by a ball than glass! Funny thing is, with all the balls that have hit the box windows and luxury suites here at Hammons Field, everyone is shocked that this was finally the ball that shattered the glass.

1-0 Shox as they bat in the bottom of the second. Once again, Shafer set the Jays down in order.
