MWC: Cougars Pad Early Lead
By Jason Owens - May 26, 2007
Chance Corgan is struggling at the mound and lucky to have just a 4-0 deficit with BYU knocking in another run in the top of the third inning. After giving up a double to Kent Walton when right fielder Austin Adams lost the ball in the sun, Corgan walked Steve Parker. A balk advanced the runners to second and third with no outs and it looked like the Cougars were about to make another big run.
But they just got one run on a sacrifice fly that scored Walton as a couple of nice defensive plays got the Horned Frogs out of the inning.
I'm waiting for an explosion from the TCU offense. Their batters have been the most consistent and disciplined of the tournament and I'd be shocked if they don't respond soon.
