MWC: It's Sooooo Hot Outside

I left the confines of the air-conditioned press box to catch some fresh Las Vegas air. I didn't last long. It's approaching the upper 90s outside and this spoiled San Diegan is glad to have a job in the press box. The cameramen sitting out in the sun are earning their paychecks this week.

I'm used to seeing umbrellas for rain -- well, not in San Diego -- but the locals are prepared as the stands are littered with umbrellas with fans protecting themselves from the desert sun.

The heat's clearly not bothering the home team , though, as UNLV tacked on another run for an 8-0 lead in the seventh inning.
