MWC: Playoff Pressure

By Jason Owens - May 25, 2007

The postseason can do strange things. New Mexico's Jordan Pacheco, the MWC player of the year and one of the best in the country, has had a terrible three days. With one hit, his average dropped from .421 to .402 in the first two days and so far is 0-for-3 today.

UNLV pitcher Chris Saddoris, meanwhile, had a miserable regular season with an 0-5 record and 6.90 ERA. All he's done so far today is pitch six innings of shutout ball and looks well on his way to picking up his first win of the year.
