MWC: Shea West
By Jason Owens - May 25, 2007
Tom Glavine's not on the mound, but Earl E. Wilson Stadium does a pretty good Shea Stadium impression. McCarran International Airport is just down the road and low-flying plains have been casting shadows over the diamond all week.
They're starting to cross over with a little more regularity as the Memorial Day weekend visitors make their way into town to leave whatever it is they plan to leave in Las Vegas.
BYU, meanwhile, is back on the field hoping to avoid an early flight home (like that segue?... you know you do) in an elimination game with homestanding UNLV, which has played well over its no. 6-seed head. After one inning, both teams have logged a hit, but nobody's crossed home plate.
