MWC: Wild Inning Allows Rebels to Strike First

By Jason Owens - May 25, 2007

Things got a little wild for New Mexico pitcher Shane Dyer in the third. He only gave up one hit, but allowed three base runners as UNLV picked up an unorthodox run for a 1-0 lead.

Rebel shortstop Braden Walker reached first with one out when Dyer hit him with a pitch. After Michael Brenly singled to advance Walker to third, a wild pitch from Dyer allowed Walker to score. Another wild pitch allowed Brenly to advance to third, but Dyer got out of the inning without additional damage.
