NASHVILLE: Bradford's college career over?

By Chris Lee - May 19, 2007

LSU's Jared Bradford gave up a leadoff double to Alex Feinberg, and coach Paul Mainieri came to the mound to pull him in the eighth. Bradford, a junior who has won or saved 10 of LSU's 12 conference victories, got a big hug from catcher Robert Lara as he left the mound.

Bradford is well-liked by teammates, coaches and writers from what I'm told, as the hug from his catcher might indicate. He stands to be the tough-luck loser today after giving up just six hits in seven innings, but trails 3-2 in the eighth as Dominic de la Osa has now tacked on a bunt single to give Vandy men at second and third with no one out.
