NASHVILLE: Mitchell chases Minor

Vandy's Mike Minor had been breezing with two outs in the the eighth, but grooved a pitch to LSU's Jared Mitchell, who launched it well over the wall in right to cut Vandy's lead to 4-2 in the top of the eighth. Minor threw 116 pitches and is in line for his eighth win, and Ty Davis struck out J.T. Wise to end the inning.
