NASHVILLE: Optical illusion

By Chris Lee - May 18, 2007

Dominic de la Osa just hit a laser to left that all of us in the press box thought would be a double that hit about 10 feet from the top of the large wall in left. Much to our amazement, the ball got out of here, a testament to how hard de la Osa hit the ball (and perhaps how poor our eyesight is).

Anyway, LSU's Ryan Byrd had pitched very well to that point, and I had just thought how no one other than Matt Meingasner (triple) hat hit a ball really hard off him all night. Now, Pedro Alvarez singled to right, and Vandy's got a man on first with no outs and a 2-1 lead.
