Vanderbilt held a 4-2 lead going into the eighth, and got some insurance in the bottom of the inning.

Ryan Flaherty walked and Matt Meingasner was hit by a pitch, and Shea Robin blooped a single over a drawn-in infield. Ryan Davis did the same, chopping a single over the head of Sean Ochinko to score two runs.

6-2 Commodores, as Ty Davis, who's been unhittable of late, will start the ninth on the hill for Vandy.
